Dr. Jeffrey Garner

Dr. Jeffrey Garner is the Lead Pastor of San Francisco Lighthouse Church and adjunct professor at Western Seminary (Growing Disciples Intentionally) and UGST (Preaching Courses). He holds a Master of Arts degree in Exegetical Theology (MAET) from Western Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree (DMin) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Jeff has over 20 years of practical ministry experience; eight of which he served Christian Life College in the roles of Professor, College Pastor, Administrator, and Vice-President. He resigned from his duties at Christian Life College in 2003 to assume the pastorate of San Francisco Lighthouse Church.

Brent Roam

Brent Roam is an Attorney in the Commercial Litigation Group at the law firm of Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis, Missouri.  He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship and Public Policy as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Princeton University.  Brent holds a Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with a minor in Anthropology from Arizona State University.  Brent resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife Rebecca and their seventeen-month-old son, Jameson Eli.

Roy Fisher

Roy is currently pastor of GracePoint Church of Oroville in rural Northern California.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with minors in Chemistry and Religious Studies from California State University Chico and a Master of Arts in Biblical Languages (MABL) from the Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley. Currently, he is completing a PhD in Near Eastern Religions at the University of California Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union.

Jon Stokes

Jon Stokes is the co-founder and Deputy Editor of Ars Technica, a tech news site that’s now a part of Conde Nast. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering with a minor in mathematics from LSU, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology from Harvard Divinity School, and is currently a PhD student at the University of Chicago (though he’s on leave from the latter right now while he works full-time for Ars). He’s the author of Inside the Machine: an Illustrated Introduction to Microprocessors and Computer Architecture, published by No Starch Press and due for a second edition sometime in 2011. Jon’s graduate work was in the area of New Testament history, with a focus on apocalyptic literature. Jon lives in San Francisco with his wife, Christina, and daughter, Evelyn.
