You did a very good job in your discussion about faith/science. One thing I would like to add is a view point that is not discussed anywhere. It is a viewpoint of mine ,and I really don’t know why theologians do not come to this concept. Biblically, even if you read Genesis 1 literally, the Earth can be millions of years old. How long did Adam live on the Earth before he sinned? Time did not start until sin, because time is a process of dying and there was no death before sin. By the nature of sin the earth de-evolved in many ways. The wages of sin is death. Life changed from a process of living to a process of dying. Only through the new birth experience can we begin to live yet again.
