Have you ever had someone try to convince you that you needed Jesus? Maybe they told you a story about how they were really messed up and Jesus helped them. Then you look at your life and you think, “I’m a good person what more do you want! I’m glad Jesus is good for you, but I really don’t need him.” Sitting alone, on a roof and a reverie, watching the night chase the day into tomorrow, we have our doubts and questions. Is there more than meets the eye? What if being good isn’t the point of life?
For three weeks Lighthouse questers will take a candid look at some tough questions: Why do Christians think that their way is better than another way? Isn’t that arrogant? Why do they try to convert people? And if God is as good as Christians say, why is there so much bad? If he is all powerful why not wipe out starvation, instead of sending people to hell? You know, why doesn’t he do something really good with his power?
